Hi,
my name is Jim O'Neill (my friends and clients all call me Mr. Gym)
Ever since I was 12 years old, I have been interested in physical fitness. One of my dreams was to become a martial artist -- which is very physically demanding.
As the years went by, I began to study exercise methods and techniques, exercise science, muscle physiology, human anatomy via library books as well as any medical journals I could find on these subjects.
By the age of 35, I began to develop a keen interest in the area of nutrition and so I began to pursue studies in this field as well.
As with the fitness field, as I learned more about nutrition, I wanted to learn even more with any chance I had to do so.
Finally, I had made the decision to become certified as a fitness trainer. I
had already been training people over the years and found that I really
enjoyed working with them, as well as seeing their joy over their results.
I also currently hold a certification as a fitness trainer through the “ISSA” (international sports sciences association), as well as a personal trainer certification and a sports nutrition certification through ExpertRating global certifications.
My passion is to help you to lose weight and achieve better health and overall fitness the right way. I do this by helping you to develop proper eating and nutritional habits and integrate them into your daily life.

My name is LeAnne Rodrigues. I attended Grand Canyon University
on a basketball scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in
Corporate Fitness & Wellness with a minor in Public Health, in 2002.
I am also currently pursuing a degree in Nursing at Phoenix College
and will graduate in December.
I work at Phoenix College and Estrella Community College part time
as a Fitness Instructor as well as at Good Samaritan Hospital as a Nurse Extern. I am the second oldest of 5 children and my father was in the Army
so I moved around a lot growing up.
I lived in Sierra Vista for
5 years, while in high school, then moved to Phoenix to attend college and
have been here for 7 years now.
Exercising and living a healthy lifestyle
have always been a passion of mine and I will continue to do it even after
becoming an RN.
One of my favorite quotes that sums up how I feel about
exercise is: We are what we repeatedly do; therefore exercise should be
a habit, not just an act.
Hi my name is Jamie Athas. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and I am the youngest of three girls. I have been very passionate about fitness and nutrition since I was a very young girl. I truly believe in the power of exercise to transform your life.
I attended Wake Forest University in North Carolina on a full track scholarship for the heptathlon. In 2004, I received a BA in Psychology. After my collegiate career in running was over I attended graduate school at The University of Arizona and received my Master’s degree in Public Health. I am an AFAA certified Group Aerobics instructor, and I am also a Certified Health Education Specialist.
I work at a hospital in Phoenix, AZ as the Community Health and Wellness Coordinator. My husband and I reside in Mesa, AZ with our two pugs Mason, and Bu.
Hi, my name is Junelle Sanchez. I obtained my B.S. in Kinesiology at New Mexico State University, and intend to pursue an M.S. in exercise science.
I'm an avid fitness enthusiast who has dedicated myself to helping others improve their physical health and well being.
I believe that nutrition and exercise are the cornerstones to building a healthy lifestyle and am absolutely confident that with the right attitude, anyone can achieve this goal.
